I was Jeannie's boss for five years from 1987 to 1992 at Sears Credit in Peoria. When we closed in 1992, Jeannie and one other employee moved to Des Moines, Iowa Sears. I also was transferred there and was Jeannie's boss until I retired in September of 1999. Jeannie and I were always close and I will miss her very much. Even though I now live in Evansville, Indiana I always looked forward to our exchange of Christmas cards. What a fine person. My heart goes out to her two daughters.

I am so saddened to learn of Jeanne's passing. I've known her since I joined Toastmasters about 16 years ago-- I always looked forward to seeing Jeanne at the District 19 conferences; we had some great conversations and laughs. She was such a fun person to be around! And as others have mentioned, what a voice--she could lead the singing of the Star Spangled Banner like no other! She will be sorely missed.

I was so saddened to open my E-mail and find that Jeanne had passed - I was hoping to see her at our (50th) Richwood's class reunion next year.  I have thought of Jeanne often since I saw her at a Charter Oak community reunion ( the community where we both grew up and attended grade school together).  There are many memories from our grade school years - one of my favorites was when we sang with another classmate on radio - 'Love Me Tender'.  Then in high school, we road the bus together and sang together also through the music department functions there.   Jeanne loved 'community' - she was interested in people.  My sympathy to her family and their loss.

Your visit with us in June, 2009, was very special and was too short. We enjoyed taking you around to see some of the sights and enjoyed them through your eyes. I could always talk to you about anything and you would give me your opinion in a nice way. I'll miss that. Love, your brother, Don.

Don, our boys and I always loved to be around their Aunt Jeanne. She was accepting, caring and loving without exception. I LOVED to hear her sing (usually the soprano to Luci's alto) and play the piano. As a matter of fact she sang at our wedding 50 years ago! But what sticks in her mind was her love for family and friends. She loved family reunions and visiting to find out "how you were really doing". Her last visit in Arizona was in June of 2009 and she was so comfortable to have around. Her faith in God was inspiring and beautiful. I'll miss you, Jeanne, but I'll never forget you.
